Where is Maldives ?
The Maldives is a small island nation in South Asia, located in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean.

There are no required by law vaccinations for the Maldives entry unless you are flying from tropical Africa where Malaria is present.
The generally recommend vaccinations for the Maldives for the standard Tourist include cover against Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus and Hepatitis B.
Currency:
The Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) is the currency of The Maldives. Most of the hotels and activity centers have the prices in USD so if are not going to leave the resort area it is very likely that you will not need any rufiyaa.
Power plugs and sockets:
In Maldives the power plugs and sockets are of type D and G. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. Type G is standard UK socket.
Most of the resorts will provide power adapters in the room but is always better to bring your own to avoid any surprises.
