Bali is a popular destination among all kind of travelers from all over the world. It is known for temples, rice paddies, active volcanoes, beaches, coral reefs and sealife.
My dives in Bali:
Bali is in South West of the Coral Triangle so it should be on everybody’s wishlist for scuba diving and snorkeling. Even that the island is not that big, there are lots of options with various dive types : wreck, drift or muck.
The coral reef is healthy and the rich waters attract a lot of sealife including the giant oceanic Manta Ray or the elusive Mola Mola. All of these can be explored by diving in Nusa Penida.
A world war II ship rests on volcanic sand in Tulamben where the world famous USAT Liberty wreck is sunken.

Getting there:
Fly to Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) from Denpasar, located in south of Bali island. There are a lot of direct flights from main airports in Asia, Europe and Middle-East so finding a flight will be easy.
Multiple options are available for airport – hotel transfer :
- check in advance with your hotel if they provide transfer;
- find a taxi outside of the airport;
- rideshare (Uber and Grab are available) ;
- public bus (Trans Sarbagita).
When to visit:
You can dive in Bali all year round with water temperature from 20 °C to 28 °C / 68 °F to 82 °F. The weather is hot and sunny with daily temperatures from 23 °C to 31 °C / 73 °F to 88 °F.
The best time to visit Bali, Indonesia is during the dry season that runs from April to September. This time is characterized by lower humidity and little rain.
